First Asian Distribution Workshop, November 2001
Society of Asian Retail and Distribution University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences
The University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences (UMDS) will hold a workshop hosted by the Society of Asian Retail and Distribution in November 2001. We would like to invite presenters for this workshop based on the following themes. The Society of Asian Retail and Distribution (SARD) was founded at the first Asian Retail and Distribution Forum 2000, which took place at UMDS in November last year. The single objective of SARD is to promote research on distribution systems in Asian countries that aims for the integration of both theoretical and practical applications to current issues. SARD will seek to disseminate this information to the world at large. SARD will also develop into a network of interested people throughout Asia, and present research as appropriate to Asian countries. SARD will produce research reports, opinion exchanges, and information gathering sessions at annual workshops, with the aim of publishing the proceedings on a world-wide basis.
The following are the selected themes for the 2001 workshop.
Main Theme
The Impact of Retail Internationalisation in Asia
Sub Themes
SARD welcomes papers related to the above themes. All papers and presentations should be made in English only.
Presenters should be members of Society of Asian Retail and Distribution. The Society will organise a review committee to select papers to be presented in the workshop. The results of the selection will be made known to all authors.
